Born in Surfside Beach, SC, Shane Pope began riding horses at a very young age. Growing up in a horse family where he regularly watched his dad, Johnny Pope, Shane developed skills that he would eventually use professionally. Shane has trained along some of the industries most talented trainers such as Shane Dowdy, Troy Oakley, Jamie Pait & Walter Smith. It is through these individuals that he has acheived the level at which he is competitive. | FOCUS
Shane specializes in young futurity prospects. It is at this age, in which Shane can train these horses to become sucessful in and out of the show arena. Shane doesn't just focus on one event for these young prospects, he also teaches them essential ground manners, lead changes, and all together horsemanship so that when these horses enter the show pen, they are well prepared for any level rider.
